BESS Training Package

The Built Environment Sustainability Scorecard (BESS) is an online sustainability assessment tool used within the Victorian planning system. BESS is available at bess.net.au.

This package consists of the BESS Class 1 and BESS Advanced courses. This package is suitable for planning permit applicants, ESD consultants, and council officers. 

BESS Class 1 has a focus on houses and townhouses. This course is also available as a standalone course. 

BESS Advanced has a focus on more complex projects including apartment buildings, non-residential and mixed-use projects. This course is also available as a standalone course for users who have completed BESS Class 1.
